Posture – Sunbird Pose (Chakravakasana) Find a balance and fierce spirit when you practice this awesome pose. Stay focused on you breath and utilize your eight moving principles thoughout the practice. Begin on your hands and knees stacking your wrists, elbows and shoulders, as well as, aligning knees and hips. With a neutral spin and long neck, pull shoulders together, engage your core, raise your right arm palm facing the floor and left leg pointing toes. Full breaths while stretching your hand and foot away from your center with your whole body engaged. Reverse sides.
Wisdom – I always keep notes from my wise friends, many of whom are well past the age of 80. This scrap of paper just appeared and I thought I would share. From the late Jeritta Belloni, a wisdom she shared with me and we were not sure who said it first. “Yesterday is History, Tomorrow a Mystery and today is a Gift… That is why we call it the Present.” Good advice.
