Find your happy place where you are.
I believe that anything you do that takes you closer to your authentic self is time well served. Consciously living and – five minutes concentrating on your breath, preparing a nourishing meal, acts of kindness, a walk in nature, laughing, watering a plant, brushing your teeth are all good ways to take yourself closer to that feeling of wholeness we all desire. I think this describes the Yoga Lifestyle. Conscious choices, conscious thought, and a commitment to practicing good acts toward yourself and others is a good beginning. At Goo Roo’s we are constantly looking for new ways to incorporate the zen lifestyle to our daily routines. I really feel that my best help came from “Source Energy” leading me to books, people, products, ideas, practices, relationships, books and many other seemingly coincidental aspects of my life to help me build better health and a better state of mind. Focusing on what is wrong only brings more WRONG. Focusing on positive solutions and listening is a good way to get into the Vibe!
Lately, our focus has really been turbo-charged by overcoming health issues we didn’t even know we had. Go to the doctor at least annually, Y’all, and tell the doctor the truth. Eat whole foods and cut back on processed foods and sugar. Exercise, I like yoga, because I can customize the practice to my needs and moods (and I can do it pretty much anywhere that my mat will almost lay down.) Finding healthy ways to eat has also been fun. I personally use the Shaklee 180 plan, so, I really only have to prepare a nutritious evening meal and keep yummy smoothie additives on hand. I love love love to listen and read motivational, self-help and ancient yoga secrets books and really advocate for self-care and taking time to learn something. Continuing to stimulate my mind, body and Spirit within me has been the best part of the journey.
