Getting the life you want starts with a plan. As we enter the Waxing Crescent Moon Phase tonight our Goals and Plans are highlighted. Balance in all things is one of the keys to success. The Ayurvedic practice of yoga is a great way to gain that balance. This Practice is designed to enhance your goals and solidify your plans toward success in whatever you are passionate about.
POSTURE – Warrior I Crescent Variation Low Lunge with Backbend – (Virabhadrasana I) – To bring strength and stability to the body, this postures gives heat and increases vitality. Those with high blood pressure or heart problems should not raise arms in this pose. Square your hips with the top of you mat. To set up for this posture begin in Warrior I hands on hips. As you lower your back knee to the mat (or folded blanket) raise back heel and rotate on toes to face front foot, place hands on front knee. For a moment breathe and gather pressing down with back foot, releasing hips toward the floor at the same time opening the chest and raising out of the pelvis. Elongate the spine, open up the chest and belly, arching slightly. If, possible raise arms out to the sides and raise up to meet overhead, continuing to deepen the backbend to Crescent Pose.

OM – to purify ego
MA – to purify jealousy
NI- to purify passion
PAD – to purify ignorance
ME – to purify greed
HUM – to purify hatred
MUDRA – Garud Mudra – to give focus to your inner project. with palms facing your chest hook thumbs and stretch your fingers out to the side. Inhale relax your hands in the mudra, Exhale pull your hands gently apart.
