This week we are learning to use our emotions (Energy In Motion) with Tantra, thereby, building strength through the emotional aspects of ourselves. When we practice asana as a moving meditation, often, emotions come up. According to the wonderful teacher, Sally Kempton, when feelings of sadness come up we are connecting to our ‘deep heart longing’ that helps us to melt away the layers and humble ourselves to Love.” She goes on to explain that fear will bring about a highly alert state of presence; whereby, the emotion of anger brings about our pure aggression getting us fired up enough to burn off the ‘fog.'” While you are working with your postures this week build an intention to go in and connect to your sacred center and give reverence to that intuitive part of yourself. All our efforts in yoga are tools to help in the process of becoming our better self letting go of resistance and being less affected by externalities.
