POSTURE – Camel Pose This posture is great for opening the heart and lubricating the spine. Begin on hands and knees, Raising your collar bones to the sky, leading with the top of the head arch back creating a nice arch in the lumbar spine, reach back and place hands for stability at the base of your Gluts or on blocks next to ankles or when accessible you may rest with your hands solidly grasping heals of feet.
WISDOM – “I dwell in possibility.” Emily Dickens Such good advice!
MANTRA – repeat until you believe it! (I have enough. I do enough. I am enough.)
MUDRA – Rest hands on knees cupped in a receiving gesture.
AFFIRMATION – “I love and approve of myself.” from Louise Hay
Yoga Fan – Yoga class on the go. Toss this little gem in your purse for yoga inspiration on the go. Get yours today.
PRANAYAMA – Quietly breath evenly in and out through the nose for five minutes, concentrating only on your breath.
NUTRITIONAL ADVICE – A good breakfast with protein is a good start to the day. I usually start my day with a Shaklee Shake Smoothie TODAY – I enjoyed a chocolate, banana and pineapple smoothie for breakfast and I just feel great. Low fat Greek yogurt with flax-seed oil, fresh lemon juice or berries, and a drizzle of local honey is another favorite. Add a little home-made granola or crushed walnuts to get power energy galore.
ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND – 3 drops of grapefruit oil and 4 drops of orange oil in a carrier oil like apricot kernel or almond oil is very uplifting. We really love taking any of these blends and putting them in a spritzer bottle with distilled water. It’s a Very nice way to take your aromatherapy with you. We like to call them Attitude Adjustments.
