Getting there isn’t easy, but, once you begin life gets better.
“Every journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”
Notes to turn ideas into action…from books, articles, webinars, blogs, etc.
Ask the big question, the Big Specific Question. “For extraordinary results, what is the one thing I can do that will make everything else much easier or unneccesary to reach my goal? So say Gary Keller and Jay Papasan in book titled The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results.
My big answer is always YOGA….It helps me feel good. Sharing it is a passion and I need to do it. I love the community I feel when I am sharing yoga. I love it when I get to that place where I know and I AM.
If, I do yoga every day, all the time, I will be in wellness. I know exactly what to do and why, yet, sometimes I still don’t do it. I let the emense pain in my body and my woe is me attitude to put me in a chaise and keep me there. I will not allow this to happen to my life.
This brings us to another important notion. Be nice to yourself. You will never reach your aspired goal or lifestyle by telling yourself you….
can’t, don’t deserve to, or any other NEGATIVE THING you tell yourself to keep you down.
Positive Aspirations are the only way to begin your awake day. You know, drink the water with lemon in it, go pee and think really nice things to yourself.
I love and approve of myself. *louise hay
I have all the money I will ever need. *suze orman
I am pretty and I am likable..
My body lovingly supports the activities of my day.
All is well in my world.
I am enough.
Joy is my reward.
Then do yoga.
To be nice to yourself is to take care of yourself. You must sleep well, You must drink water, you must consume good clean food that actually is food. Your body depends on you to take care of it. The alternative is not good.
I do this! I really do try to do this. My downfall is sugar. I am a freak over coffee creamer and cookies…..and have been working on healthy alternatives FOREVER. (Update: I have come up with some healthy alternatives that I like. I will add them the food and nutrition tab)
Whole foods, smoothies, protein shakes, superfoods, shopping on the outside aisle of the grocery store, farmers market, grow my own food, avoid snack aisle, stop drinking soda pop, avoid fast food, try to resist my husbands talent as the best cookie maker in the natural world. Oh and I quit smoking cigarettes when I turned 40…yeah for me!
I have read almost everything Deepak Chopra ever wrote starting easy with his book on quantum physics. That took about a year. Difficult to read with a two-year old in tow. In a nut shell, they all get down to good inputs equal good outputs in your body, mind or spirit. Eat when you are hungry and don’t consume more than you can hold in your hands cupped to recieve . Whole natural foods are best. Become One with Source and live by the seven spiritual laws. Well…
I eat alone. My husband lives on other stuff. My point is that I must support my own goals. I cannot force anyone to join me. I cannot blame others for my downfall. I plan to succeed by keeping healthy foods on hand, and by going to bed early and keeping toxic stuff and people out of my daily life.
Nontoxic Life. Breathing helps. Breathing is the secret to LIFE. Seriously, BREATHE. Good breathing practices can control stress response, help nourish your tissues with life sustaining oxygen and clear the yucky stuff out. Here is a good exercise to try.
Sit comfortably in a quiet place. Close your eyes and listen to your breath go in and out. In and out ……in and out…..Now, bring your self to a peaceful setting in your mind and continue to listen to your breath. In and out, in and out, deep nourishing breaths, in and out…..Good. Now take the breath deep and then exhale with a few extra seconds on the exhale. Inhale 5 exhale 7….8…9 cleansing all the toxic air in the outer limits of your lungs and tissues. Yoga with twists are good too.
I’ll continue this post later, so, check back.
